| + | With the loss of his brother, Stumbleduck began to spend more time at the Idle Hour Library. There he quickly found the Essence of Darkness, an ancient tome of rudimentary magic. As he read aloud the first simple spell, the candles on the desk next to him extinguished without a breeze. The librarian, Blambyn, quickly rushed over to see what he was doing. She explained to him what had happened, and warned him to be careful when reading the spells. |

The Early Years
Stumbleduck is a male rock gnome with a strange interest in the undead who hungers for deeper knowledge.
Born in the caves of The Cunning Hollows at the foothills of Mt Roth, Boddynock lived for years with his parents Smovoock and Fonkle. His brother Cuknick had left when Stumbleduck was only 9 years old.
